Default Question on the new Bravo lowers

Does anyone know if the newer lowers with the deeper skegs are faster than the old ones?

Are you referring to the Sportsmaster lower? The one with a satin aluminum finish.

It is slower than the standard Bravo lower. The larger skeg is great for boats with very high drive heights. The larger skeg adds control on those boats. If the drive is not that high I know of some people and manufacturers who have cut the skegs to make them smaller.
