Default #6 Torque Specs

What are the torque specs for the bolts that hold the lower gearcase to the upper gearcase on a Number 6? Also there was some type of adhesive outside of the O-ring seal...It looked almost like bellows adhesive?

Upper drive shaft hsng to lower gearcase is 100 lb. ft., listed in my mercruiser manual. The adhesive was most likely quicksilver perfect seal.

Sometimes builders get a little excessive in the amount of O-ring or bellows adhesive that is used to hold the o-ring in place until the housings are assembled. After assembly the extra gets pushed out of the groove. You shouldn't use any "sealer" between mating surfaces that are sealed with o-rings.
