Default Sea Strainer Mounting

First, before or after sea water pump?

Second, does it have to be lower than the thru-hull fitting and pump, or can I mount it as high as I want?

Default Re: Sea Strainer Mounting

Before any of the rest of the system and as low as possible for better filling(less air bubbles).
