Warranty- What Should I Expect?
March 03 ordered a complete new L/H rotation alpha drive from an advertiser here on Offshoreonly. The unit arrived in early April. Installed the drive and used it all last summer. Understand this is Nebraska. Boating season is limited as compared to the southern states. Approxiamately 30 hours of use and a needle bearing goes out. Long story short, all the bearings need replaced and the prop shaft.
The warrany is one year and expired. Should I expect the company I purchased it from to do anything? Pay for parts? labor?

If the warranty just expired within the last month, as long as you can prove the number of operating hours since installation I would hope he would help you out.

The warranty is from Merc, so I doubt you'll see anything. If it was just out of warranty by a month or so, the dealer would probably try and help you out with Merc, but 4 months out of warranty is probably too long.
