I have looked high and low but can not find and was wondering if any one knows the specs to the old merc. 420 / 425 HP 454's the merc part number is 451-7892. Let me know if this is right or wrong and any info. Thanks Rag's

Wouldn't a roller cam give you more power? I have heard of numerous 454 magnum rebuilds that have dyno'd at 500+ hp

rmbuilder, PatriYacht, you to are the best. klaw shoot me a price. I think it is more then I want to spend but what could the info hurt? Wow that is a spice cam for a medium to low compresion 454 in a boat. Just tying to chrunch HP and dollar numbers to fix my 330HP. Does any one buy chance know what merc instaled it at? 110? 105? thanks Rag's

Its the same cam as the stock 525SC cam. Crane makes another cam that is very close in specs and comes in kit form cam part #134241, kit part #134242. It was way cheap compared to the 525sc cam. Like $150 for the kit at Summit.
Specs are .534/.553 and 226/236 on a 112 lobe sep.
