Default SSM V drive

Hoping someone can help here. I had the boat I'm in the process of buying surveyed. On sea trial everything appears fine. When drive lube sample was sent to lab for analysis, the report states there is high iron content in the lube. What does this mean and should I be worried? This is the only comment by the surveyor that is negative. Does this mean I need to rebuild the drive. If so, how much does this entail?

Any thought are greatly appreciated.

I suggest you make the deal based on the drives being inspected/rebuilt by a Mercury dealer of your choice. Maybe BAM , Doller or TnT.
