Default Mirage Vs Mirage Plus.

I currently have a mirage 25 that runs good on my boat but, I was wondering how a 25 plus would handle and run? Does it have more bow lift? is it a faster prop? Thanks Dwight

I've run both on my boat.

The "Mirage" tends to slip a bit more because it does not have a cup. I When I put the mirage pluses on my boat I picked up a few MPH in cruise speed and about 1-2 mph on the top. I also had a much better holeshot. The boat was much more responsive to trim with the Mirage Plus and did not porpose as much.

Keep in mind what RPM's you are running with the 25 Mirage. A Mirage plus will be about 200 rpms lower than a non plus. So you might need a 23 Mirage plus.

I am running 4950 with the 25 mirage. Something interesting is that when I tried the 27 mirage I had a experienced porpoising and a little slower speed. Seems the 25 was able to push me through the porpoising.

Nova 23 ZZ502/502
25 Mirage Plus I get 68 mph @ 4750 rpm.
25 Mirage {not a Plus} I get 70.3 @ 5100 rmp.
25 mirage Plus labbed best yet is 70.9 @ 5150 rpm.
Speeds are gps.

Before I got my 25P labbed I was told that, a 25 non plus would be close to a labbed 25Plus. Cost me $270.00 + shipping for an extra .6 mph. Yeah, it was worth it.

Hope this helps.
