Procharger 496 Ho With Cmi Headers?

I have a 2003 28 heat 496 HO (425 HP) / bravo 1 X and thinking about putting a Procharger 5 psi kit on it. I might have the ECU reprogrammed if helpful. (I prefer the procharger rather than the wipple because the wipple is making too much torque at low rpm too bad for the drive when pulling skiers I believe) Would there be any benefit of adding CMI headers? What CMI headers the standard E top or the sport tubes? If I 'm not mistaking a 500 EFI has the "standard E-tops" while the 525 EFI has the "sport-tubes" Any suggestions why there are two different headers? Any idea about price differences? Some difference in sound level?? Wet or dry exhaust? Whipple offered first in his kit stage II the sport tubes now (at a lower price) the standard E-tops . 496 HO with Procharger 5 psi rated at 625 HP...what about with CMI headers? Worth the investment? Good idea to replace the standard ECU by and for a whipple modified ECU on a Procharger? Thx for any comments and reply...

IMHO if you go with a Procharger you will have a harder time pulling up skiers. Prochargers don't make the power until the higher revs. I would recommend a Whipple. Yes it does have low end torque, but that is what you will need. You can regulate it with the throttle. I think it is better to have a little extra than none at all.

P.S. I have had a Whipple for 4 seasons in front of a Bravo 1 with NO issues. I just treated it with respect. I don't beat on my stuff.

Factory exhaust is very good like headers ,take out the difussor plate between the riser and the manifold if they are still in....took mine out ...procharged with the 3.5 lb kit ...installed switchable exhaust tips.....put nose cones...drive showers played with props all summer ..got 83 gps out of my 2001 353 fastech 496ho motors. 13 mph gain
I would use the money for aluminum heads or flowing yours better before buying headers.
Iam looking into Raylars heads for better flow and weight this winter.
I like the procharger only kicks in at 3800-4000rpm no stress on the motor when just cruising and you can stay in it all day if you want its intercooled...

I prefer not to open my block so no heads exchange...Is the procharger kit really complete? All the hardware, fittings etc? Someone knows the difference between the 500 EFI and 525 EFI CMI headers??

The kit is pretty much 98% complete reason being was I switched the type of outlet,s for the intercoolers they gave me red anodized ones I wanted polished stainless to match the factory look...a fitting or two just to locate the factory fuel lines in a better location I needed to move because my holding tank for my toilet is in front of my starboard engine...once you put the extended pully on for the charger it was tight... outside of that no big deal ..twin engines easier to pull port engine ... needed to notch a 3 x 5 section of my outer stringer(which the factory approved) Formulas are tight back there. My mechanic did both engines in about a week and a 1/2.....

Causin trouble,
What are your drive ratios, prop pitch, max RPM, and max boost, on your set up?
