who back off the rockers to take the pressure off of the valve springs in the winter

if you got a monster llift cam i would think about it, but if not, don't....

I do, this is the first year the motor stayed in the boat Had to loosen them cause my springs pressures are on the higher side.

ive heard to just rotate the motor a couple times. rotates spring with pressure on it.

I run a solid roller in My smallblock so I back off the Rockers and remove the Exhaust Manifolds and put them away for the winter .I have to pull the exhaust anyway to get at the valve covers.Another benefit is that all valves are closed, sealing any damp air out.
