TooOld is corrct about the direct replacement. They do make one that uses a stand off box to house the transmision and then holds the 540 drive on the back. Very cool set up in that it gives you set back and the killer drive. Some place on hear Biggus has a picture of it. It will be real interesting to see what their shiftable drive will be like. Could really make a impact. I hope that they are able to get a name out there so that manufacturers start to use them in their higher HP aplications. If they can get the production numbers up maybe the price will drop a little.

These make the older boat market alot more appealing, the one thing that always scared me off older boats was the TRS drives but these solve that issue.

Here's a pic of Konrad drive with stand-off box, trans, and thier welded on nose cone that they used before they came out with the one piece "speed type" lower unit.
