Default trimtab switch location?

where is a good place for trim tabs switches? Right now there on the gunrail next to the throttle. I was thinking of putting them on the left side of the streeing wheel on the dash pod. Any ideas? TIA

I'm assuming your dash is on the starboard side on the boat. I was going to move mine but thought it best to keep on the same side of thottle. This way I didn't have to move my right hand to the wheel and left hand to the switches. Keeping it with the thottles meant I could let go of the thottles, adjust tabs, and get back to the thottles quicker.

i would keep them close to the throttles if you can. If you have hyd steering then maybe i would consider it.....but if you dont then you will have to take you throttle hand off the sticks to grab the wheel and then use your left hand to work the switches.......last thing you need is a situation to pop up on ya and have to switch hands back to try and grab the sticks!!!! This way atleast one hand is always on the wheel while the other is not too far away from the throttles

Idealy if you have the room to move them i would try and place them right above the throttles so all you have to do is move you hand forward a few inches to reach the switchs...

I'm with these guys.
Been using my throttle hand too long.

Like to leave my left hand on the wheel. I use it as a grab handle.

Here's mine.... Seems to work well. I use the throttle hand for the tabs.

Maybe I'll try behind the throttle, all you have to do then is drop your hand back off the throttle and trim and right back on the throttle........hmmmm?.....
