Question How About Allstate Carburetors???

Anyone have any first hand experience with Allstate Carburetors in Long Island N.Y.?
I spoke to them the other day about a Holley Pro Series carb and was told that they buy
parts from Holley and assemble them themselves.
I like the carb because it had a bright zinc finish.
They told me that I couldn't purchase the bright zinc finished Pro Series carb from Holley.
Are these people on the up & up or just another scam........?

Dennis, I think they are just like the Acme company, you can buy wrenches, scooters, rocket powered cars and atomic bombs from them. Oh, wait. That was on the RoadRunner cartoons. Never mined. I've never heard of them.

They do sound cool though. Why don't you go with a Barry Grant, Demon Marine?

If you are serious about a performance carb. at a good price contact AED Performance. They have a web site W/prices. There newly built carbs are tested b-4 delivery. Some of the best in the business. They build carbs for NASCAR. Check it out.

Personally I have had OUTSTANDING results with Barry Grant carbs.....NEVER heard a bad thing about them.......Not to say others are not as good or maybe better(if that is possible) but I looked long and hard and during my search I found NO bad comments with BG carbs or most importantly thier customer service....

Nickerson !
Put two 720 Hp 572's in a 38' Scarab , with fresh Nickerson 1150's .
No problems. I don't think Alstate is offering any savings. They do know carbs. They are a few miles from me. I sometimes go and buy parts from them, but can do way better online. I bought a q-jet carb kit from them for apx $42. Got the same kit later on at autozone for $18. Also needed one gasket and they would only sell me a kit. Meanwhile they make up the kits, and had the gasket on the wall in the back of the shop. BBB
