Moroso Distributor Timing Indicator
Has anyone been using one of these?
I thought it might be a good idea to use one when lower octane gas is all that's available.
Really could help in pinch.
The ad says that manifold mod may be needed.
Maybe have to drill a hole?
It's located toward's the bottom of the page. #26100

Re: Moroso Distributor Timing Indicator
I bought one of those years ago. As I remember it, you need to remove material from the intake manifold, because the lower plate spaces the distributor up. So if the plate is 1/16 thick, you need to mill, spot face, ect that amount off the intake boss. It is important because that dimension is what sets the drive gears on the distributor. Also the intake will need to be drilled and tapped to hold the lower plate in place. Plan on removing the intake to do the job. If its not done right you can ruin the cam and distributor drive gears.

Re: Moroso Distributor Timing Indicator
You know what?
I'll save the 20 bucks for one of these by setting marks on the distributor and intake
to my preferred degree of timing.
