Re: BG carb choice
A 650 Vacuum Secondary Speed Demon "Marine" carburetor would be your best choice. P/N 1282010VEM. You'll need to either switch intake manifolds, or use an adapter, since our carburetors use a square flange bolt pattern.

Re: BG carb choice
Thanks Rum Runner,
I know you speak highly of these carbs. I have the adaptor for now but am going to switch to a performer rpm air gap down the road
What is the adv. of the vacume sec. and what is the difference betw. speed demon and mighty marine demon?
DO I also need a new fuel pump?(currently stock mercruiser mechanical pump)
Thanks again

The vacuum secondary carburetor will give you better throttle response, let you get on plane quicker, and allow you to run cleaner at cruise. The Speed Demon "Marine" Carburetors are designed for milder engines like yours, and have an electric choke for easier starting, while the Mighty Demon Marine Carburetors are designed for more Radical engines.
DO I also need a new fuel pump?(currently stock mercruiser mechanical pump) No,your stock pump should work fine.
Thanks again
