Warranty Mercury 500hp Question!
Will be installing exhaust below the waterline. Will that void the warranty for a Mercury 500hp engine?
Thanks

Re: Warranty Mercury 500hp Question!
As long as the exhaust risers are at LEAST as high above the waterline as the minimum dimension shown in the installation drawings, I don't see why it would have any warranty implications.
Course there's always that fine print...

I am not moving the motor as it relates to the waterline, I am just relocating the tips out the side and below the waterline. They are going to be located in the very back bottom corner on the sides. I think the builder is just blowing smoke out my ass because he doesn't want to do it saying Mercury will Void the Warranty.

thats fine too as long as the risers meet the height requirments nothing else really matters. the setup you are talking about is common on inboard applications.
