Default PCV valve with supercharger

Anybody running a pcv valve with a roots style supercharger?
It looks like the older merc 525 and 600 sc's used one that in mounted in the back of the intake manifold.

The pcv valve would need to be before the supercharger . the intake will be pressurised

I would avoid using a PCV system on a SuperCharged engine. Any hot oil from the engine will run back through the supercharger, and can cause detonation.

Rummrunner,
Thanks for the reply. My motor blows a little oil out of the valve cover breather after I run it hard (extended periods of boost). I was considering running the pcv valve until I read your post. Never considered the hot oil causing det. but it makes sense. The last thing I want to do is make the air/ fuel charge any hotter. I might try to plumb the v/c breather to a "catch tank" of some sort.

Plumb the crankcase vent into the air cleaner. Use a automotive sponge like breather in the air cleaner to soak up any blowby oil. just change it out every few months. They're only a couple bucks and it will keep your engine compartment clean.

Mine has that pcv in the intake. I believe it is for the boost reference of the carb.

It does not go all the way through the intake.
