Default Changing props?

I'm running a Awesome Thundercat 31 with factory 496 mags and 28 pitch 4 blade props. If I went to 30 pitch 4 blades, does anyone have any idea what type of speed i might gain? I'm running appox 82-85 now.

thanks in advance.

Are you at max rpm now with the 28's? You may not be able to spin 30's to max rpm. You may need labbed 30"s. Are the 28's stock or labbed?
Just a few questions so we have something to go by.

They are stock 28s and I can get about 4800-4900 rpms which is the max for my 496 mags, I think.

If your at max rpm now and your current props are non labbed, you most likely will need to go to labbed 30's. You should pick up a little on top end. The Prop guru's should be able to give you a more educated top speed number. Have you tried running your numbers through a prop slip calculator?

Your best bet would be to post this in the PROP TALK forum
