wiring diagram
This is a long shot, but thought I would try.
30ft 1998 Awesomecat with 3, 2.5 efi outboard motors.
Having a wiring problem.
Hatch actuators not working from switch (no power to switch).?
Actuators work when jumped directly. 2 wire actuators
Right fuel gauge gives no reading, nor does the needle move?
Changed the sender in the tank and no change.
Wiring is all numbered but don't have a wiring diagram.
Does anyone have this type of wiring diagram for the awesomecat?
Looks like I have a bad ground but hard to find without diagram.
3 motors + full gauges for each motor.
I think I have enough wiring under the dash to go around the world, haha .
Help Jeff

The wiring under the dash is about as much as a Boeing 747
Three motors, full of gauges.
OK fuel gauge problem.
Note: 3 tanks, only one not working since last season.
Changed the fuel sender, did not work.
Colors are:
Sender: white
Ground off the sender: black
Ground off the tank itself: green.
All tanks are the same, but this is the only one not working?
But did work part of last year?
Does the ground "black" ground on an engine block or battery itself?
Boat is wired per motor per battery.
But over the years, someone ran 2 motors and played in wiring.
Its just impossible to follow the wires
Don't want to start jumping wires.

the grounds should all go to a ground bar? than from battery to ground bar and motors.as long as your not using smartcraft gauges. get a fluke meter and a diode set. place diode set on one end of wire than test with fluke meter on other end. or undo all grounds in console, than hook tank end up to 6volt battery and test with a test light to find that wire, just make sure grounds are isolated from electronics. I will bet its just a corroded end if they didn't used tinned copper wire? and shrink wrap on connectors.too bad you live so far away.

Connections all look good.
Yes, I have a couple of - bars under the dash.
All the wiring and power runs from under the dash.
I agree, its either a bad ground or positive end.
So far I have a gas gauge with no reading and my hatch actuators are not working.
No power going to the switches or fuses.
I jumped the actuators direct and they both work.
Have a bunch of old fuses under the dash which will be replaced.
But don't have power "actuators" fuses.
Seems to have either a +\- problem before the fuses.
May have to rewire the boat as I don't like the set up as is.
Keep you posted
