Baja at Lake Cumberland
A special thank you to Baja and Alton Blakely for a nice showing at Lake Cumberland.
They do a very good job up there with the houseboat and all the nice Baja's on display.
We rafted off the new 405 a couple of times and got to look it over and I will tell you first hand that this is one very sweet boat. There was a lot of thought and detail that went into this boat. It is VERY nice.
Of course the 40 Poker Run boat was a real HIT. I saw lots of folks stopping to get a closer look at her. Nice to finally see it in the water and to watch it run.
Good to meet Steve from the factory and all the nice folks from Alton Blakely. Thanks for letting us hang around.
There were a lot of Baja's at this run which makes it fun.

I'd also like to say thanks to Dan and the AB crew. Really nice guys. They let us tie off on Saturday, and Saturday night to the houseboat when there was nowhere else to dock. Also got to see the 405 in person and that's one hell of a boat. The 40 PR Edition was real wild. Wish I could've had a ride in that!!

Re: Baja at Lake Cumberland
birdog & jonyb,
Sorry I did not get to meet both of you in person.
I guess you saw my rig uptown. We stopped in the Jamestown Cafe on the way home for breakfast.
Man was the rig & boat "DIRTY". I really hate to pull it that dirty, but with the dusty parking area and the oil slick water line from the lake it looked bad.
Hope you all had a great time. We look forward to going back up again next year.
Take care
Doc.

Yeah, what was with the that oil slick scum line? I looked at the 405 this morning in the parking lot, and thought someone added a black stripe! Makes our Lake Erie scum lines look pretty mild!
