Re: 20 speeds

I had a 2003 20 Outlaw that I used to run in the Pacific as well as Havasu and the River. It ran low 60's pretty much in any condition. If you're running 60 in real 4's your doing well but it must be slamming pretty hard. I've been out in 4-5's with mine but with occational bursts to 60 maybe but steady running. I think it would beat the crap out of you.

But the 20 is a great small boat. I've got my 25 (which is huge compared to the 20) for sale and would take anothe 20 in trade towards it so I guess that says something about them!

Re: 20 speeds

My old 20 seemed to like some chop to get running, it did not do as well on flat water like most non-step boats. The fasted I got it with a light load was 63.4 on the GPS. That was a two way average up and down stream on the river here. Fast enough for me in a 20 footer.

Re: 20 speeds

I got 61 gps on mine with between 1/2 and 3/4 tank of gas and flat water.

The speedo said 65mph on that run, and with very light fuel I have seen 68mph on the speedo. I should see 63-64 GPS with light fuel. Boat is 100% stock and I am at sea-level and in salt water.

I can't imagine running WOT @ 60mph in my boat in 4 footers. I hit a cruiser wake the other day which was a good 4 feet and I remember watching the beer in front of the passenger come out of the cup holder and levitate for a while...and then we landed. For as much air as we got the boat did land really well--I don't remember it hurting anyways!
