KUDOS TO HAWKEYE/I blew a drive

A week ago today I left for a 5 day weekend planning on a 250 mile trip up river. I was 120 miles from home enjoying myself and my beverages when I blew a drive. I made a call to Hawkeye in Dubuque Iowa and with one call they told me they would pick up my trailer pull a drive off of one of their boats and meet me at a landing about five miles from where I was at. With in three hours of the problem starting I was back on the water and able to continue my vacation. I returned home after vacation on Monday at 12:00 they meet me at the ramp with my trailer pulled me out and told me they had my old drive a part and that I would be back on the water by this weekend. I have always been happy with the service I receive from Hawkeye but this is truly going above and beyond. Their concern was that I was able to enjoy my boat and my vacation. They are great.

They've done me right.

I bought my current boat used, and
the drives haven't been without
issues.
Without going into too much detail,
they took care of things that other dealers
probably wouldn't take care of on a piece that had
150+ hours.

Granted, I handled the labor,
they treated me more than fair on the parts
that I did have to cover on my end.

Wow 3 hrs! Good to hear something positive for a change about a dealer!

Make sure you wear your best HAWKEYE t-shirt this weekend when you are out and about!

A newbie here, but I thought I would chime in on a topic close to my heart. It is great to hear how Hawkeye treated you so well. After we bought our 245 in N.Y., the dealer seemed to forget who we were. The 1st summer we had the boat, it seemed to sit at the dealership more than our slip. Thankfully we moved and will never have to deal with him again.

Arriving at the shop with a case of Todd and the boy's favorite beverage may score a few "brownie points" too

That would be mine......and some of the
Hawkeye guys at the store, but my last
"token of appreciation" to the guys at the shop
was Miller Lite.
