Thumbs down Re: 30 Outlaw w/T525s.....

a little high price 160,000 for a 3yr old boat you could wheel and deal at the boat show on a 07, I would think. I thought 496 hos were like 112,000to 117,000 if you add 30gs for 525s thats 147,000. 90hrs could have been hard hours thats a season or 2. I wouldn't touch it for anything over 130,000 its a buyers market

check the 33 04 496hos 115,000 rear bolsters two!! you could have it blown for another 10,000 with make then 600hps, the 33s go about the same speed as the 30s from what I have seen here. alot more boat in the 33 better ride.

I was thinking the same. 130k if in excellent condition. Spoke to Hawkeye this morning. Apparently, big loan on that boat so the owner is pretty firm on price. I don't have 6 months to wait for him to realize the market and come around. So this one is done. Looks like a great boat though. Very fast!

I DO'NT KNOW THE OWNER,but thought you missed it and might work for you just trying to help art

Oh here a SUTPHEN 32 is for sale 2 years now with 850hp 85gps single. Nice boat, I was in the sister boat in gal winds rode as nice as my friends old race boat 37ol. BUT he is asking 15 to 20gs to much he feels if it sells great if not great its all custom. I think after 1st season his girl wanted a cruiser and so he put a high tag on it. makes her happy and he keeps the sutphen.

I know the owner and it is very capable of 74 with the labbed props. We've run side by side on Lake Travis and I was barely able to pull away from him. The boat has been well taken care of and I can't imagine it has many hours on it because he's always working. I also know it's truly a freshwater boat because his wife won't let him take it in the salt even though we live so close! I think I've seen him on other people's boats more than I've seen him on his own.

Airtime - I don't know about you but I think Andy's going to owe us some commission if he sells this thing!

Re: 30 Outlaw w/T525s.....

I saw that 32 Sutphen. Called them about that. I think it was at Tri-state marine. They didn't have much info. I've never heard of the engine builder. -Doesn't mean it's not a great motor, and there's no doubt the boat looks awesome -love the oldschool lines. it's just a hassle to shop boats up north in the dead of winter- when all the boats are wrapped up and stored away. But if I go new- I need to order it soon to get it by spring.

it sounds like a great deal, if you can get 3 or 4 ft from a boat stay with the same speed or close to it. I think the best 29s are running 74 to 78 with the 496s so 4 more feet and close to the same speed as a 29 or 30 OL

Yep, the best I've seen in mind was 78 gps but with a light load (2 people, 1/4 tank) and the air temp was in the low 60's. During the summer I typically run anywhere from 72 - 75 gps depending on the temps and load. My 30 is at least 600 lbs heavier than most with the generator, a/c, galley package, extra batteries (4 total) and stereo equipment.
