Do have a few add on's coming, but your right Stock isnt fun, but right now it will have to suffice, need to save some money to get down the river with, this did put a halt on some boat upgrades for this year as well, but had to be done.
I am sure this has been discussed many times, but it totally amazes me that the truck makers can get away with slapping a 7000 lb hitch on a truck rated for 13000 lb, without getting sued. My new Putnam XDR is here and just stopped in the hardware store for grade 8 bolts to go with it, so that issue will be resolved.
Great forum site for diesel owners, http://dieselplace.com/forum/index.php

You can start out with the muffler or catalytic convertor delete pipe, then add a programmer or tune like an Edge Juice/Attitude or EFI Live (if you'd like to read for days).
I've got the same truck, just a 3/4 ton, but still has the LBZ. The muffler's gone but you can't even tell by the sound. I'm about to delete the cat and add the turbo downpipe soon.

We have an '05 GMC 3500 Allision/Duramax on 19.5 alcoas, Banks Exhaust and The Edge "on the fly adjustable" chip. We upgraded our hitch and had some "issues" with it. There's pics floating around here somewhere. But it does pull our Top Gun like nothings back there! GREAT truck! Congrats.
Here's a pic of ours by the way (kind've).
