36 or 35 OL
If money was no object, but it is, witch would you buy if looking for that size boat? Is the new 35 that much better of a boat but a foot smaller? I didn't want to go as small as a 36 but moneys tight and therers some great deals on the 35's.

I'm confused. Is money no object or is it? If not, I would buy a new 35PR with 700/NXT set up, like the green one that was in Powerboat a few issues back. What a beautiful boat that was. Actually, if money was no object I'd buy a new TS/TG but that's a different argument!
I'll be upgrading to a 35-38 boat within the next couple years (maybe sooner) and will definately be looking at 36 Outlaws. My buddy just sold one and I had drive/ride time in that boat. It did everything I would need from that size boat and would have bought it off him if it hadn't sold so quickly (in one week!). There are some good deals on 36's and although I have no experience with the new 35's I just can't see spending that much more for a new boat.

I would buy a 35, hands down. IF Reggie works his magic the 35 it will be a very formidable machine.
My next Baja (if that time ever comes) will be a 35 with 700's. The boat would be really fast with a full stagger setup!

While both are great boats, the 35 will perform better with same power. The 35 is just a great design, and yes with the Fountain team on it, I am expecting some performance gains

Glad to hear some respect for the 35
I have 496ho's.
Times are tuff. One day mine may be for sale. Trying to hold on as long as I can.
Ride is great. Never rode in a 36OL so cant give a direct comparision. I boated in the gulf waters and now in the Atlantic.
Just wish I had some 525's for some 80 mph runs.
On the perfect day I have seen 75 on GPS. usually 72.

If the 30 is not too small, its a good all around boat for the money with HO's and upper 70's all day long. If I had the money, I'd like a 35, but then it has to have 525's minimum. I don't have that money so don't have that problem......

I love the 32 Sun,,, BUT it is a very small 32 footer,,,,if he is considering a 35-36 BAJA he will not be happy in 32 Sunsation

I guess what I was saying, money no object in the Baja price range. most of you would go for the 35 but why? You could poss. put 700's in a 36,wouldn't that be fast? Its always the same answer for some people. Remember, theres ALWAYS gonna be some one faster!!!Some one stated the 35 hull is better, most things with time and research will get better than the old style. So a better hull, what about cockpit and cabin? Do you lose some space in the 35 over the bigger 36? There are soime great deals on 36's now so I'm just trying to get some good answers from the people that would know best.
