Only if it is what someone is looking for. With the prices of 25's and 29's today it is hard to compare the prices of a 24 to them. I have a 24 and love it, but looking at what some are asking for them compared to what the newer and bigger outlaws are going for is crazy. If you want a 500hp then do it, but I don't think that it will increase the value of the boat all that much. JMO

Have a guy interested in it the way it is with the 300 hp merc.. 30k with trailer.. but looking at the price here on a 29 or 32.. are double... plus.. so was just going to keep it and drop in the 500hp for a few years...

Again JMO but I just went and looked at an 04 25 outlaw for a guy for 32k 54hrs mint. If you like the 24, which I do, than do it up. But there are deals out there and for good prices. Personally if someone would offer me 30k for mine I would hand them the title and go shopping.

Canadian dollars dont go to far down in the states... but there are some good deals.. I have to make up my mind soon... have a day to decide on an engine or sell mine..
Might take the 30 k if it is in front of me... then run... fast !
straight for the us boarder looking for a 29 footer.. lol

If I under stand you, you have a buyer for the way it is now 300HP for $30,000 USD >>>>>>>>> YOU NEED TO SELL IT, I would price a 1996 24 Outlaw 300hp around $15,000 USD
As for adding a 500HP, yes it will increase value, but you will probably loose money on adding it, say the motor costs $8000 it will only add say $4000 to selling price.
So you are out 4000

oh no.. 30k canadian dollars.. so minus 30% in american funds..
He is suppose to come up to see it today.. really undecided weather to keep it and drop in an engine or sell it due to the exchange rate...
The boat is appraised at 35k with full marine survey the way it sits..
Not much for sale up here in Toronto... what ever is for sale is overpriced..
guess I have some serious thinking to do in the next 6 or so hours...
Does anyone know what the process is getting a boat and trailer across the boarder.. where to pay taxes ... ?
Again I have my eye on a few boats but they are all over the continent... makes it more difficult to buy a replacement..
