Default 29 baja with ilmor or procharger

looking at a 29' baja, will I be better to procharge existing power, or put in a pair of ilmors??? Want a fast boat, yet reliable, and something that will last for a while..

anyone have any idea what a 29 will do with ilmors?

How much are you looking to spend? Prochargers are fairly cheap and easy, I know it isnt a boat but my daily driver car is a procharged corvette and I love it. Very reliable

Not sure on the diminsions of the Illmores but I really doubt they would fit in a 29 Outlaw.

i don't mind spending a bit more to get the job done right. How reliable are prochargers? I figured if I just bit the bullet up front for a pair of ilmors, i wouldn;t have to replace them...

if i bumped from a 29 up to a 33' boat would ilmors work? I've just started shopping, and was out in a couple 29OL's and really liked them. End of teh day, I just have to be able to pull it iwth my HEMI...

1/2 ton Hemi? If so, you've already overloaded with a 29 Outlaw. Also, haven't paid much attention to it but I don't think the engine room is much bigger on the 33 than the 29.

You'd be much better off buying a boat that already has the power you want than buying something else and swapping it out.

I'll sell you a very fast 29 Outlaw on a new trailer with fresh power & drives for WAY cheaper than you could build one for.

On a 36" stagger with Indy's, the Ilmors should only be 2 5/8" longer than a standard 36"stagger with 700s'. Depending on what centers you run you might be able to go shorter on the stagger distance.

I'm guessing you've never seen the engine room in a 29 Outlaw. Barely room to fit 2 big blocks in there, stagger is completely out of the question unless you rebuild the entire cockpit.
