33 baja speed or 35 fountain ex
what speed can I expect 2001 outlaw 502mags 130 hours and 35 fountain same motors I am having a hard time deciding what boat to buy, the fountain is 15,000 more is it worth the money, I also have two small kids so the extra room in the baja would be nice,

I will say having been in a 33OL it is a very nice ride, with alot of room in the cockpit. I would owen one in a minute if I had the money.

We have two small children and loved our 34 powerquest Vyper, might want to take a look at them as well, the cabin size and construction is very nice, mine with 500 hp's runs high 70's. we moved up to a A/T and have our powerquest for sale if interested.

I spent time in a 35 Fountain a couple of weekends ago and I have way more room in the cockpit on my 33 OL. I love the space, your not talking about that much difference in speed but it is whatever you likeing is. I only have one set of bolsters in my 33 as well.

Just this spring I was in the same situation of looking between a 33 OL and the 35 X at Shogrens. I ended up going with the 33 OL one because I got an awesome deal on it and for the boating I do the extra cockpit space of the baja is great. Mine has 496 HO's and I see about 71-72 gps full of fuel. It really depends on what kind of boating you do. Even though i am a Fountain guy I made the change mainly for the room because where I boat (the Illinois River) having an 80 plus MPH boat isn't a big priority. It all depends on what you're in to.

Baja or Fountain
Three years ago, when i was looking around, it was between the Fountain and the Baja as well and I ended up with the 33 outlaw. You can't go wrong with the space, but is a heavier boat and slower. If i had to make a guess, i would say the speed difference is about 9-14

I would like to hear this if you would place the thread in the Fountain forum and see what they have to say about it. I'm still more for the Baja, not just because I own one, because of the price, luxury comfort and space. You do loose on the speed and that the only thing. My 2 cent on this
Good luck. They are both great boats and can't go wrong with either one.
