carpet questions
Going to replace the carpeting in my cruisers cabin. It has a foam backing and is glued down.
Is this a marine specific carpeting or just standard foam backed carpet?
Thanks

Not sure you could tell just by the foam backing. I have pulled carpet in older boats with almost no backing or rubberized backings to. Regardless I would replace it with marine carpet. You won't be upset with the descision.

Not finding anything that's marine rated that we like. Plus those always tote the UV protection and abilty to drain water away so they dry and don't rot that one would require for cockpit use.
I sure hope neither of these situations ever occur down inside the cabin.
We like the feel of the heavy foam backing ours has and want to stay with that. And not going the tack strip route, requires the glued on foam backing.
