Default Help identify thru hull fitting

Hi I am going threw a 1998 36 outlaw new to me. There is a thru hull fitting shown in pic 1 on each side. I can see it from a small hole near the battery under the rear seat and it has nothing going to it. Just a open hole. Does any one know what they are for?

I am not sure what the thru hull fitting is. Mine does not have any it that area.

PLEASE get you boat off that trailer and on to one that fits your boat! Way to much hanging off the back.

Hey thanks. Just got her home and working on getting a bunk style trailer under it asap. For now I have the back blocked for support.

These holes are getting to me. You would think they are floor drains but they are not. Cant believe they are open just inches above the water line.

Any advice with just blocking them of?

Do you have any drain tubes coming from your gunwale comptartments????? Never seen them before so they had to be added I think. Maybe the previous owner was collecting water in them and put the drains in. Seems like it's in the same area???

I just did a quick search on traderonline.com for 36 OL's...seems like all the ones I saw "pre" 2000-01 have the fitting...those after don't... so they had to have changed something...

Good trivia question...
