A procharged engine is a short term power solution. IMO. 3-4 years max. If you are easy on it probably longer. Unless you know exactly how an engine was driven with a Procharger I would stay clear. Buying an engine that has already been Procharged is risky. I had one on a weaker 7.4 MPI and it held up good for 3 years then it just create headaches. Head gaskets, fuel problems, etc.

If you have a Bravo outdrive it will fit.

In a 245 that motor would be suicide!!! I'd look for a 500efi I hope whoever your insurance company is paid for the engine to be reinstalled and purchase a new one.

That sucks! I've seen several 500efi's out there forsale both on Ebay and in the Classifieds. If your not looking to modify your power I'd look for a 496HO, but if your ever going to want to modify buy the 500's or 525's

I think a 500 in that boat would be a fun & fine choice for power. I would for sure put hydraulic steering on it. That is a 100% must have item for that power (or a 496) in that boat.

The only issue you'll have with going to a BB is the exhaust holes in the transom. You'll have to have custom tails made.
