The survey is/was being conducted by the owner?!
If the owner was not against a survey, in my opinion it should be your surveyor and the owner paying the bill. You can never tell who is in bed with who.
Good luck with the purchase.

My personal surveryor will be conducting the official survey and I will be footing the bill.

It doesn't look bad as it sits now either. Consider just leaving it alone too.

How did it go? Was the boat nice? Did you get it?
The gel coat is cracking in many places which had me concerned from a structural standpoint. The interior was in good shape minus the faulty speedo guage.
I couldnt get diagnostics off the motors as they werent being read by my laptop. The boat needs a good detail and wax. I couldnt inspect the outdrives because the boat was on a lift. It could be a good deal for someone who is willing to put in some work.
I bet the owner would take 25k. It hasnt seen much use which is probably its biggest downfall.
In the end, I picked up a Formula Fastech 292 in NJ. Here is the link:

I was under the impression that you did not care for the 6.2 motors.
Although its not a fast accelerating boat out of the hole...the formulas top end speed (stock) is impressive. We were running low to mid 70's easily in 3 ft chop.
