I guess I'm going to pull mine off the market. Not really wanting to sell just thought I'd throw it out there to see what happends. My boat has tons more in it then this boat does, Latham, Gaffrig, 2 year old trailer, interior, 496's, and haven't seen a 29' Outlaw anywhere close to as nice as mine for the money...

I'll put it back up during the summer and see what happends.

With the 6.2s its a real oddball they are great motors for what they are but as this dealer found out resale is tuff.
So you stand by your original price of 21-25, but low 30s is okay too? Percentage wise, that's a pretty big swing. Are you standing firm or back-peddling and sort of agreeing with me?

Mid 30s is a very nice purchase price for a 2002 OL. I haven't seen the boat. I'm saying this based on it needing only a little elbow greese and possibly some tires. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. I'm basing my numbers on recent experience with an under powered older 29. I realize this is OSO, but not everyone buying a boat is looking for 70+ MPH. In fact most buyers aren't.

Low 30s means 30200.00 to me thats only 5k over 25k but hey just offer full price and tip the salesman a couple of hundred you should be fine.

It seems I may have offended some Baja owners, this was not my intention as I feel they are decent boats for the money. If you recall I almost bought one it seems I might have been a bit low on my estimate of value,I guess I was hung up on the following

Dealer has had boat for a while

Tailer has flats

Wheel bearings on trailer not to mentioned brakes have not moved in a while

Boat is underpowered

boat is almost 10 years old

Engines/drives have probably not turned in years

Asking price is more than 50% of new price

That and in this price range the market is very low, this is a working man or small business owners boat. This segment of the population is not buying

Boat will be very difficult to resell for 80% of asking price within two years

I realize now that these are all minor issues and we should all be thankful that the dealer is even willing to part with it.

I agree.....most are at dealerships too. I know a few of these have been for sale for awhile......as I looked at one of them 2 years ago when I bought mine.

No offense taken here. Just giving my opinion. I do like your comments about tipping the salesman and being thankful they will part with it.
