Default 29 outlaw boys, i gotta secret for you

I was running around yesterday and tried something that a couple of factory guys suggested to me over this past winter. When running flat out, Lift the engine hatch up about 1 to 1.5 inches and let those babies breath. Results were 2.2 mph gps every time i tried it. Almost instantly I watched the speed go up on the gps

Good tip Bob!
How have you been?
I've posted about this before and you're right, it makes a difference. The vent designs are a little dated and insufficient for a pair of big blocks turning higher rpms.

Nice tip bro! I'll give it a try and post back the results. Are you seeing an increase in RPM's when you lift the hatch?

Advantage,
You don't need to go any faster. I'm gonna duck tape your vents closed to slow you down. Cool tip but kind of a nock at Baja's primative technology.

Nick, Ive been real good thanks I have an issue with my rpm's being to low and cant find the right props and now i discover this little bit.

Advantage,
Weekend was okay. The weather wasn't too good. But we got out and avoided the rain most of the time.

When are you coming down to play again? We figured we'd have seen you by now. The blown beeker was out last weekend. Way to fast for the driver. He's scared of it already.

Does this only work on the 29 Outlaw?

OTIS,
I don't supose you got any info on the 20 Outlaw? I'm curious to see if its worth anything.

I'd be willing to speculate that this would apply to any twin engine boat with the original vents. I tried it on my boat without result.

Thanks for the information OTIS. I'm already at my rev limiters so opening the hatch wouldn't do me much good.

I do that with my SCARAB and it does make a difference. Just be dam carefull to only open it a max of 2 inches or the wind may open the rest of the way for you.
