Trim tab indicater ??????
I have a 2000 Baja H2X with the Instatrim 200 trim tabs. The indicator lights do not work correctly when the tabs are adjusted. The have a light at top and bottom but do not move to indicate an accurate reading. Any suggestions??? Should I just order a new indicator? Where would be the best place to buy one???

Are both sides out?? If not reverse plug on back to see if lights up. Mine does that on one side and I swapped and it lit the other side.
I think it's the wire going to the back but I never traced it!!

Mine does the sam, although only on the starboard side. I swapped the plugs on the back of the gauge also, and the indications swapped when I powered it up. So I know the gauge is good.
I figure it's the wires, or sending unit on the ram.
I e-mailed Insta Trim, and they e-mailed back with a 1-800 number I could call for troubleshooting, but I haven't done it yet.

Make sure none of those serial wires are messed up. I had the same problem and the ribbon was torn somewhere, so I had to fix it. You can no longer get replacement ribbon cable from Boat Leveler, so if you break it in the middle your screwed. If you break it near the indicator, which is what happened to mine, you can just move the connector to good ribbon.
