Was a school teacher. Quit racing after one especially violent blow over in that boat.
He used to test in Sandusky Bay (east of bridge) and use the ramp at Vacation Land Marina next to Venition. My buddies family owned that marina and we used to hang out there.
They were a Glastron/Johnson dealer.

Xt - I used to ride motocycles with John S. Great guy.. We used to ride from his house in Atlanta up into the mountains of NC. Anyway, i've got a 98 Outlaw and the back deck needs replacement - do you have any ideas?
