I have a 23P 4 blade and a stock 454. It feels like too much prop, as I only really ever see about 4400 rpm. If I were to start looking for another prop what would you guys suggest? 21P 3 blades seem to be pretty common.

you are correct . for one pitch is 200rpm so that will bring you to 5000rpm were you want to be

Sounds to me like you are set up correctlly. You could get the Baja cup on the tips. That would lower slip and drop about 200 RPM's.

Unhappy

call brett at bblades for new props he has a program where you can try props. I had 5 different hp combos in my 240 sport/24ol. with my stock 454 330hp I ran a 23p mirage, at 4600. my 502 390hp= I ran a 25p mirage at 4800rpm and a 24p trubo 3 blade hydromotive at 5000rpm and its for sale. my top motor with a 2'' shortie did 83.2 gps before theft of my drive and parts back in 07. so if someone wants that 24p 3 blade 250 takes it. for a new prop you guys are better with the rev 4 21/23/25p. brett likes it on the baja boats with stock height drives. the drives X on these hulls is too deep. my ran much better with the imco shortie.oh I might be making the ol fairings out of glass this winter. the sport240 looks so much better with it. just look up pics of my boat to see it. good luck art ps I ran that boat for 19years now its in storage.

I ran a 4 blade with the shortie a 26p b1, which I hated with the stock height. I used the 24 and 25p mirage and turbo. to get rid of the walk you need FULL HYD steering. I was good at sawing the wheel at wfo going down the river in turns or curves in the river at 80. I needed a 28 labbed prop to get full speed out of it, but during one of my many surgeries someone cut a hole in my porta garage and stole everything.. its posted in stolen section back in march 07 lost my father inlaw that night after he knew how upset we were. so by 08 I started to build up parts in 09 I got a konrad ace xfactor drive also started Dean gellner on a 572 blower motor in 08. so by oct my friends talked me into a new hull/ used and I went used with the saber 28 there built like my buds 46 skater he was shocked at the glass work. so the 24ol is sitting half apart in the same spot. not sure if I am going to put it back together or strip it and sell it. we might use the fairing for a plug and also the motor cover which weights about 30lbs and has a prostock scoop its 1'' balsa cored.instead of 200lbs. the fairing might fit sutphen 26s and 31s. they seem to have the same windshield as the 240 sport 87 to 90 too.
