Wires!
Picked up some Sierra (Teleflex) ignition wires last week, went to install them on the weekend, but the short lead from the module to the distributor has the wrong clip on one end. And I wasn't overly impressed with the look of them anyway.
Called the dealer this morning, and he said there's another possible set that would fit. He's ordering the factory Merc ones anyway at almost twice the price. My wires are original Merc on my 15 year old 272, and are still working well, so good quality I assume.
Question - go with Merc., (marine grade, obviously), or a high performance automotive wire (MSD, etc.)? I always endeavor to use marine parts..... just curious what others have done, and if there are any spark dangers in using non marine wires.
Thanks all!
