Default interior help

I'm going to redo some interior pieces on my own this winter on my 97 252. I have already redone the wood in the back seat, and next is the gunwale covers. They are rotting so bad that i was having to vacuum out little splinters of wood towards the end of the season. Here's the deal....I've stuck my head underneath in front of the rear seat, and I can't see any way that they can be unscrewed. The rear seat has 2 big wood screws with washers on each side, but I can't see any way to undo the gunwale covers. Any ideas would be appreciated, because I need to get them off in one piece so I can use them as a template to cut new ones. Thanks in advance!
