Default external steering arm

Who is a better company to buy products from? Lathem ?

Or Omce?

I am going to be purchasing a new external hydraulic steering arm unit. It is an add on one not the full system. Which company should I buy from and why?

No,

I am looking for an external hydraulic steering arm that supports the out drive. It is a hydraulic cylinder that is connected to the outdrive and the back of the boat to assist turning

Are you talking about the hydraulic steering actuator?

It doesn't assist in turning, it actually is the steering for the boat.

Is this what you are talking about?

If so, this is the Lathum system and I am very happy with it.

His came with the boat, he added the box later and reused. The mayfair system from CPperformance is priced well. There are several good brands, imco, marine machine, lathem, zeigler(spelling?), many more. I have been looking myself but have not installed them.

I have a buddy with the Imco system on a 303 Formula. Transom only system, not full to the helm. Nice setup.
