Paint job on Hanks36
Hey Guys'Let me tell you it was a long trip and a long couple of days for me but I finally arrived home this evening.Mitch and his crew had to do some last minute touching up on the paint in some places before it was ready to go.They where very professional, understanding and bent over backwards to get this job completed and to satisfy me to the best of there ability,Thanks Mitch!! Thanks every one for the positive comments!! I will take some of credit for the the Paint design as I saw the design on a 2009 39 Top gun and fell in love with it! I had Mitch tweak the design a little and put the 35th anniversary(removed the 35th ,anniversary and change the color) logo in the place of the cig logo's and I changed the wording and design from 36 Outlaw to 36 Outlaw Custom and then he added his custom touch to end up with what I think is the best looking 36 out there.Doc Holiday eat your heart out!!!Ive got alot of work ahead of me before this project is complete such as installing a new swim platform,New interior,New Gauges,New Shifters,New Steering wheel,New stainless deck hardware, etc. When I get it all put back together and polished up I'll post some finished pictures of my project. This winter Im going to put a set of whipples on the 500 efi's.For all you Baja owners out there I would like to tell you what happened on the way home Today.I didn't have my cockpit cover on because I didn't want the fresh paint job being slapped by the canvas.Any way long story short the wind was blowing in excess of 30 mph and the lag screws that hold down the hatch actuator on my engine cover /sunpad to the stringer pulled out and my sunpad blew off and skidded down the interstate then was hit by a semi!!!!!The hinges on the sunpad slapped back on the upper part of the stern and f***ed my new paint job before they pulled out of the sunpad base.Thank God no one was hurt and it's something that can be fixed..Customryder will fix my paint for me as he is the best painter in Paducah,Ky by far!! Im hoping Dave at XT will come to my rescue on the Interior and Engine hatch/Sunpad repair.Anyway going to bed,Ive had enough excitement for 2 day's..Hank36
