Welcome to oso.

You are looking at 68-70 depending on setup and other variables. If it were me, I'd look for one with 496s, but it's a matter of personal preference. In terms of fuel usage, it will be a tad better than a 496 boat, but not anything major. Remember the twin SBCs will have to work harder than the BBCs.
What kind of powerboating experience do you have and are you looking for a certain top speed?

Just looking for a decent riding 29-33 foot boat, low hours, decent power(60-70 MPH). Does not have to be Baja, but that is what I have always had.

You won't go wrong with a 30OL. It's a really nice riding boat. You should take a look at the 33OL as well. If you do a little searchin' around here, you will quickly find that many of us are of the opinion that it is one of, if not the best hull Baja ever made.

I agree that spinning 6.2's at 5200 to 5300 that they are rated for will not last like 496's Mag spinning 5000 rpm. 68 GPS might be a little high for stock 6.2's from the testing that I have done in a factory boat with 6.2's. You will not beat the CG balance of small blocks in the 30ol hull though.

I did allot of testing of a (before and after) 30ol with 6.2's with a notched transom and it ran about 64 with 22 B1's and 66 with 23M a stock "X" dim. in most conditions. After it was notched we got 65.7 with same set of 22's and 68 with the 32's

WOTW2E here on OSO has the only 30ol ever built with 6.2 Scorpions and he is bumping 70 with a boat that has every imaginal option like corion countertops and 4 full sized batteries to power the huge stereo system.

Note: Do not get SB's in anything larger than a 30ol.
