232 front bilge pump
#3
I don't know anything about the Baja, but a great trick to drain the water down even more so than the bilge pump will draw out...
...is to stick a shop vacuum hose over the through hull fitting on the outside of the boat.
You either have a float switch which is stuck up, a water switch which has gone bad, or a bilge pump with a timer that turns on every few minutes to check for water, which has gone bad as well.

Does anyone know how to access this front bilge? I've had mine come on a couple days with all the rain we've had and would like to check on how much water is in there. Does that compartment drain back to the bilge or is it completely seperate from the aft part of the boat?

On my old 272 and my current 302....front bilge is under the step down steps going into the cabin. There are a few screws in the carpet of the step down step you need to remove and it will then come loose and you can see down there. My front bilge on my 272 stopped working as well and had to replace it.
The front bilge on my 302 automatically cycles every few minutes.

Anyone with help on the 232 front bilge? I walked out this morning only to hear it running w/o water coming out. Rained last night but had the cockpit cover on. I really want to find this pump and understand whats going on down there!
