Big hp h2x
Boat looks amazing, you are going to love the new power. Put a 583cid in mine last year. It's a bullet! Hydraulic steering is a must! I'm seeing low 80s gps so far!
Have fun!

steering
I just put a imco full hydraulic steering in my boat w/ tilt, It is a great system for 3786$, except it was a pain in the ass for my mechanic to get the fittings on for the out site hoses, also, they give you very little instructions. I will be trying it out on fri afternoon

As talented as you are you could piece a hyd system together for under $2000 easy. I think I had under $1500 in mine. I bought the helm from a tractor supply place and had some stainless cyl made and got all the fitting from a local hyd hose supply store. I had to make my own outdrive attachment because I'm running a SternJack. A stern jack would work awesome on your boat also.

I finally decided to start a build thread for my 2000 H2X. My boat originally came with a 7.4 MPI with 320hp. With all the other high performance boats on our lake, I decided I wanted to go faster! I had a 509 bbc built at the beginning of the year that would handle a supercharger, and after reading all about Eddie Young's work at Young Performance Marine I drove 6 1/2 hours one way to drop it off with them back in April. They are modifying my 502EFI intake and installing my M1 Procharger. Eddie is also installing a new camshaft and roller timing set, and they plan on tuning everything on the Dyno. I am excited to get my motor back, but the whole situation has kind of turned in to a nightmare. I was told that everything would take 4-6 weeks. That would have given me time to have everything together before Memorial Day. It is going on 9 weeks and in the middle of boating season the parts are just now getting shipped from Procharger that I was missing. Hopefully it won't be much longer.
See ya at the sandbar.

I used fiberglass cloth and resin, and then I finished the outside with plastic body filler (Bondo) and painted it. It takes a lot of time, but definitely worth it. I will try to post pictures of the build process later..
