i have coastal night lights on my boat, 2 single blues. they do pretty decent especially for the money but i am wanting more already. i was just on ebay and the oceanleds actually seem to be geting more affordable. they have a trailer series light that is ideal for most of us that do not leave our boats in the water. they are less resistant to to corrosion but if your boat doesnt sit in salt water all the time it wont be a issue. wal mart, yes wal mart has some underwater transom specific lights for 30 bucks each and honestly they are pretty bright for what you pay. there was a guy out one night with a set and i thought he had high dollar ones as bright as they were, when he told me they were wal mart lights a i about crapped my self lol

Anybody try these? The guy e-mailed me and said they're 300 Lumens each.... Price is reasonable at least.
I like the trim tab mount idea. Is it possible to run the wiring through the same transom penetration as the trim tab wiring/hoses? Are they caulked in place, or is there some sort of gasket there?

Was thinking of the drain plug too..... Does it add much brightness overall? I e-mailed the guy and he said no problem to make the strip a bit longer (the full width of the tab) for the same price. Seems very reasonable to me compared to some of the others.
