Default Chine Walk??

I have a 98 baja outlaw 24', has a 510ci about 550hp. Ive had it at 73 on gps, i get a real bad side to side movement, "chine walk" . i can trim my tabs down slightly to fix the problem but loose about 4-5 mph. Anyone else have this problem with their boat or have any suggestions on what i could do to fix the problem. I have added more power this year and will be shooting for 80mph. thanks J

Hydraulic Steering and a five blade prop helps like a Maximus prop or a 22degree Hering prop

Can you describe in more detail about what you mean by side to side? Do you mean the boat/nose won't stay driving in a straight line or the port and starboard teeter totters one side to another?

Full hydraulic steering makes a difference. And when you get into the upper 80's it goes back on rails. But 90's in that hull you really can't feel the water under the boat anymore and you start wondering if your crazy for driving that hull at those speeds. I needed 32p 4 blade to get there...

I have found if you have to trim a lot to get the bow up it makes the hull very loose on top end. You need a 32p 4 with 550HP??? What Rpm and what prop do you have now.

Sinve we are talking big power any prop suggestions on where to start with my new outlaw setup? New motor is a 548ci with 650hp. Not sure what prop I should start out with in the spring to get the boat in the water and running

The boat has a port to starboard whobble, i have some pictures and theres only about 3 feet of hull left in the water, which is great but id like to have to whobble and with the added power this year coming up, getting kind of nervous....i have a 24-4 bravo 1 on the boat now and turns no problem 5200rpm
