Someone has a 280 in the swap shop parting it out. That will probably be your last hope to find any. If you have the inside rings still, just make you own outside covers. I just bought some white plastic material and made my own.

Inside trim pieces are the same except they have mounting holes drilled in them.......

I had a Sport 280 new back in the day and lost those trim rings on a regular basis. Century also used the same window. My local Century dealer used to stock them. -A bit of a long shot, but call Channel Marine in Laconia NH, they just might still have some on the shelf.

Good luck,

Kurt

port hole windows

I contacted the guy at channel marine and so far he's been pretty helpful. After sending pics of my windows we think that we know who makes them .He said hes got an email out to them to see if they will sell just the ring for the outside.I got my fingers crossed.
I want to thank everyone that has helped so far,I got a guy in Delaware willing to sell me 2 windows from a 90 another guy with somthings that may work and another option to go new at a fair price...But since Bob at channel marine thinks he knows who makes the window maybe I can can get exact replacement at fair price.PS my other option as far as new is more like the 90 window with no snap on trim which may be better since I wont have to worry about the trim flying off at 65+mph....

If you can get the new 90's glass I would think hard about it.
It does not stick out half as much and is much less susceptible to damage from little dock bumps, etc. They look almost the same -
only you will know the difference. Nice research work - looking forward to seeing how you make out on this.

port hole window trim

ok the guy at channel marine can get the trim ring hoping its the exact fit for the window.Hes says the cost is 25 bucks plus shipping to him the plus shipping to me ,they wont drop ship.I dont know what the total cost will be yet or even if its the exact item although we are pretty sure it is some how?
So Im not sure if I should go with the 2 new windows for under 50 bucks plus free shipping or spend the wood on the trim ring and pray .
How hard could it be to change the window? On the 90s style window, is there a trim ring on the inside becouse from what Im seeing from the pic there is nothing that goes around the part that goes through the hull ?What is the hole going to look like when I take the old window out(carpet or whatever)...
Any input from anyone that has ever done this ?
Im going to find out what the shipping is going to cost somehow .If anyone wants the trim rings I think Channel (Bob) in parts is the guy hes been a great help..

New windows or just the trim thats the question ?

It's easy to change, you just remove the screws and the caulk.

The new window has an inside ring just like the old ones. The hole will just be fiberglass, core, fiberglass and then your headliner material.

The new windows are the way to go if you want the classic look of the smoked window. The new ones are sleeker looking and no ring to fall off.
