Default Mounted ladder on alum platform! No welding...

Well, my 33 didn't have a ladder for wife and kids to climb up so I added one.

Problem was it only had 1 - 3" flatbar crossmember to mount.

So I found ladder on eBay replica of wind line for 107 shipped.

Found ss bolts at Home Depot and a 2' piece of alum 1/2" flatbar I had a wok I cut in half.

Mounted flat bar on across ladder and then mounted bars onto crossmember!!

Nice and strong!! Also the ladder has a tube crossbar to act as support my wind line on the 25 didn't have that kept bending the frame and wouldn't close!!

Looks like the ladder I just installed on my DVX. You go with the 3 or 4 step?

I got the 3 step..

Had 3 on my 25ol so I figured it would be good enough.

Just search 3 step telescoping ladder or something like that. I bought mine end of last season and just finally installed it. I got a pretty good deal on it. I think it was $73 shipped to me.

Here are pics of mine. I mounted it as close to the transom as I could so it wouldn't stick out much when telescopped (spelling?) in. Only bad part is now the top step is a shin killer. If I re-do it I would move it back a little.

looks good!!! mine sticks out a little, but couldn't help it much b/c otherwise it resting solely on the tie bar (twins). And yes, didn't want to tuck the top step in too far. Mainly for the kids and wives... I could have climbed up the side of the platform or just jumped up from the tiebar.

I ended up paying $89 plus $15 shipping.. still cheap compared to the Windline brand which looks the same.. This was does have more support with a ss tube to rest on vs. the frame that kept bending on my windline that was on the 25ol..
