if you could find some 23p rev 4's would run well. I would suggest 24 b1 for best cruise, but you probably would be on the low end of your rpm range.. unless you labbed..

ideal = 24p b1 labbed
2nd = 23p rev 4's (good prop out the box, my 25ol loved the 21p but nailed the rev limit.. couldn't find a 23p to try but carried boat well with low slip and climbed out hole AWESOME!
3rd = 24p b1 stock (low rpm range)
4th = 22b1 would do ok, but not the best cruise..

this based off the prop testing I did with my 25ol.

So should I buy TWO together...or just buy one to match the Mirage Plus I have?

Thanks for the input. Well, let's face it, with 7.4's I'm not breaking any speed records. :-) I would say my top priorities would performance at cruising speed around 48-50 mph and economy in that range.

I would go 24p b1!! The 4 blades will not be effected by a little weight in the boat and better bite in the water.. I.e. more response. My 25 with 4 blade almost felt mechanical.. touch the trim up and immediate response from bow..

I will prob end up with 26p b1 but want more seat time with the 25p m+ I have to see what kind of rpms I am hitting in summer. If i can't pull close to 5k, I will try some 25 rev 4s or I will have to get some 26 b1 s labbed.

Oh.. you could just find another m+ to go with your other..

Here's an update... I went and looked at my OTHER prop and although I couldn't read the exact numbers other than 23P it's definitely a Quicksilver like this I found on ebay... Mercury Quicksilver Prop 23P 48 11074 A40 | eBay

So, I've got that AND a Mirage Plus 23p on my boat. It really rides Port side down and running the port drive up is not enough to correct it, nor does it get much better when running 45. I have to run that port tab down to level it out!! Are those props that much different that they could be causing it?

if the quicksilver is similar to the reg mirage( prob is!!), its missing cup that helps hold the bow up.

Find another m+ and sell the quicksilver!

Another update....

Appears I may NOT be mismatched.

The "other" prop is 48-13705 A40. LH

The one with the cast in "Mirage Plus" is 48-13704. RH

They are BOTH listed as a Mirage Plus!!! But the hubs are different. The big question is are the blades the same?

Also, I was testing some Bravo 1's 22p and 24p.

22p
cruise speed 41-42 mph at 3500 rpm
top speed 56 at 4600 rpm

24p
cruise speed 45-46 mph at 3500 rpm
top speed 56 at 4100 rpm...and that's all she had.

The stock Mirage Plus 23p
cruise speed 45 mph at 3500 rpm
top speed 61-62 at 4400-4500 rpm

The B1's definitely hooked up better and my little 7.4's had no problem getting on plane with either set. I was really stoked on the 24's until I put the hammer down and it wouldn't go over 4100!! So, I guess I'll stick with the stock 23p Mirage Plus.

The props are a little rough around the leading edges and pretty scaled up. How should I clean the scale...what product?

Need to try some 23 rev 4's if you can.. labbing the 24's would be your best prop as they could get some more rpms and get more speed.. rev 4s are better out the box.

I want to try some 25 rev 4s.. this heat is also killing my power so i know I could not push stock 26s right now.. frickin 100 degrees today!! I also need to get some more seat time but I run at 9% slip at 34-3500 and 50 MPH which is sweet. I think the revs would help me on top or I need to lab my 25 m+'s.

Toilet bowl cleaner will clean them up. Perhaps you could take your current ones to a local porp shop and have them matched and worked a bit.
