Rosed

So i took the boat out, everything runs fine but, when I hit the trim or tabs switch, my tachometer drops to zero, trim and tabs still work though. Can it be a loose battery connection?? I didn't get a chance to dig into it yet, but might clean the cables and terminals tomorrow, anyone ever experience this?

Sounds like a bad ground and/ or power to the tach.

so I cleaned all the connections to both batteries, by then my batterires didnt even have enough power to start the boat, i put the charger on it for an hour, fired up my volmeter ( on the dash) shows that its charging, and everything seems to be working normal again. hope it was all to do with a bad connection.

Dead batteries are like gremlins.. they can put out a lil voltage just enough to trick you until you put a real load on it. My house battery had me fooled a few weeks ago!! 1.5 hrs later, I decided to put a full charge to them.. voila!! Now I have a 3 bank charger to keep all of them full!!
