I just got a Smokin' deal!
Man I am pumped! Just got done signing the paper work for a brand new 02 29 Outlaw. I have a 98 Outlaw currently but really wasn't satisfied with the 454 mpi's (310). I really wanted a better motor package to start with for building something Nasty. My 98 is a very basic boat. The 02 is LOADED. 496's, full Latham external steering, Bravo X drives, every option offered except a cabin table and a flatscreen TV. With triple axle trailer w/mags I paid in the mid $80's. I thought that was a outstanding deal. The boat is getting delivered on Monday. I almost let this one slide on by so I could wait until next years 30 Outlaw. I figured that i wouldn't even come close to this deal. I Can't wait!!!Does anybody have an idea about Top speed of this boat with labbed 25's .

If it is the one at RC Congels they are the 496 (375hp). I saw it next to the 2002 29 Outlaw I bought from them in May. Both boats were loaded the same way. It was just a decision of colors. Nice boat! They did replace the cockpit cover I hope, it was torn down the middle when I was there. Just to let you know. Congratulations! I'd like to be able to take them out together sometime, so if you are ever able to take a couple hour trip to Sacandaga let me know.
ps. the boat should run 71-72 everyday.

29,
Mine came with the 26x4. I have not tried any other combo yet. I am running 4600 rpm. The Max is to 4800. I have thought of having these 26's done which should bump my rpm's right where they should be. The low and mid range is great. I was told ( I don't know for certain) that the 2001 and earlier models were coming through with 3 blade props, but they would blow out too easy on take off so they went to the 4's. Mine will still blow out but nothing more than is expected. How have you liked yours?

My 3 blades will blow out if I rev it passed 3300rpm out of the hole. I don't mind. I just ease into it and all is good. I couldn't live with the 26x4's that I tried eariler this year. They had been labbed by Bronson Hill and I was able to run them up to 5100rpm but still saw no better than about 72mph gps. This would put you at a less than stellar 67-68 assuming you turn the 26's up to 4800rpm. Get some labbed 25's. That would put you right at 70mph (assuming 4800rpm with 9% slip).

DAM!! That does sound like a killer deal....Are they just trying to blow out the 29's due to the 30's coming out or what?
If you don't mind me asking, how much did you put down and how much are your payments for how long??
The boat sounds REALLY nice....get some pics up!
